StockScore
This section outlines how we process the fundamentals of a stock.
Usage:
Since the score is relative, run the analysis on the stocks you're considering and choose the ones with the higher scores.
When you click on Run Evaluation Process, we scrape all the metrics and financial data of a company. Much of this process is automated providing users with a streamlined experience.
Added support for Chinese Stocks:
We now support HK/Chinese stocks in StockScore as long as their tickers match Yahoo Finance's (e.g. 1211.HK for BYD)
Metrics Used
| Metric | Description |
|---|---|
Dividend Yield | How much dividend you receive for every $1 you put in. |
PE Ratio | This suggests how expensive a stock is. This metric is used for comparison against industry average. |
Forward PE Ratio | This metric tells us if the company will be cheaper shall it meet its earnings estimate in the future. |
Free Cash Flow Yield | This is a basic sign of a company’s financial health. If it's too low, shareholders may have little value left. But healthy free cash flow also supports future growth. |
EPS or Revenue Growth YoY | We use two quarters to calculate year-over-year growth, so one unusual earnings quarter doesn’t distort the full picture. |
Operating Margin | This metric is compared to the industry average. A high value suggests a strong market share, high profit margin, and a wide moat. |
